I still can't get over the fact that Jerome Bettis went into the HOF...

Yeah, for those of you not too familiar with Harrison, he is waaaay worse a person than T.O. ever is/was. T.O. is just a diva, and certainly belongs in before Harrison. That ball boy story is absolutely true and I'm amazed it didn't get more coverage. I guess have Manning as your QB goes a long way.jwfocker wrote:CopperTom wrote:I think Harrison was a class A off the field asshole too. Harrison literally killed people and forced witnesses to be quiet. Just goes to show, do what you do just don't piss off or on the sensitive egos of the sports media. Probably won't hurt to stroke the egos of those prideful bastards either.
One time when the colts were warming up before a game against the jets a ball boy for the jets got too close to Harrison so Harrison knocked him to the ground and started to strangle him. Security guards broke it up. A ball boy.

The specter of Manning is literally the only thing I can think that is keeping Harrison out of the bulls eye but it's pretty awful that dude has been living easy. Lets talk about that cam press conference again though.

Very comparable numbers to Earl Campbell, and Campbell's in.
You are not the only one. I think there's a good chance they would have cut Lynch if he didn't retire.MattA75 wrote:NoRussellManiac12 wrote:Marshawn Lynch? I get that he retired early and therefore his numbers take a huge hit I the grand scheme of things, but am I the only one who thinks he might have been on the verge of a Shaun Alexander-like dive off a cliff numbers wise?
Marshawn won quite a few games BY HIMSELF. Well by himself on offense at least.Green Habit wrote:You are not the only one. The past tense in your statement is critical. Seahawks are lucky they didn't go full Shaun Alexander with that Lynch extension.Bammer wrote:Marshawn won quite a few games BY HIMSELF. Well by himself on offense at least.
I guess Lynch would be helped by the utter lack of running backs aside from Peterson in this generation who would even merit consideration (aside from Peterson, and obviously moving back a few years, Tomlinson, is there any other RB who is a no brainer HOF electee?)Bammer wrote:Marshawn won quite a few games BY HIMSELF.
