There's a high-quality digital rip in the PearlJamBootlegs subreddit. It's better in that it doesn't have that splishy-splashy "bad mp3" sound quality, but it sounds bad in that it just sounds really bad.

the vinyl itself sounds a lot better than any rip. the guitars still sound distant like a room mic recording though. and i can't for the life of me understand why they chose deep or life wasted for the vinyl, i assume they played plenty of other songs that ed sounded better on. the other tracks are great, however. even though of the earth is kinda all over the place and no one seems to know how it actually is supposed to go, it's enjoyable enough. jack white sounds great on it.

When i wrote them i was just inquiring as to where mine might possibly be and admitted that i live in a wonky mountain town where the mail is often - a shit show. They wrote me back and apologized and just sent me out a new package.

Well, i just got the original package and the other one has already shipped. So I might have 2. Do i send it back like a good Samaritan?

You should sent the second one back with a note saying that your friend ordered a copy of Lazaretto on vinyl when it first came out. His record was never delivered and when he reached out to TMR asking for assistance in the matter he was told, "sorry bro, not our problem, talk to the post office." And when I talked to the post office and tried to follow up with TMR and even offered to pay shipping AGAIN for a replacement, I was never given a response.

Tell them that. And then tell them that they should pay your kindness forward to me by shipping me a copy of Lazaretto.

I'm not telling you what to do, but if you told them, I'd give 90/10 odds that they just tell you to keep them both.

Try to get someone on the Pit to trade it for a Benaroya Hall vinyl.

They sent me an extra, I told them. They told me to keep it.
