I wasnt a fan of Jack, i wasnt even interested...then i saw Dead Wheather open for PJ on ACL 09. Incredible performance. Amazing. Im a fan of the band and i really appreciate what Jack does with time.

There's a posthumous Bourdain segment in this new LSD thing on Netflix.
He tells a story about pulling a Hunter S. Thompson and doing a bunch of drugs with his buddy and some hitchhikers, it's reenacted by the guys from Workaholics, it's pretty funny.

Watching the Ethiopia episode now. Marcus Samuelsson's wife is so fucking beautiful. And this is a heavy episode. One of my favorites

Yeah the later episodes are less than great. There's a certain mania to them too. The one in southern Italy with Asia is awful.

I love the Hong Kong one Asia directed. Might be a top 5 for me.

Fair, the Uruguay one rules. I didn't love the BA one, too much time spent dwelling on the "Argentina loves psychoanalysis" bit.

I'm trying to remember now, where was the ep shot? I mostly remember the scenes near Aeroparque Newberry. I'll also note that I watched that one after living in BA/surroundings for a year, so part of my disappointment was that every minute on the couch was a minute not spent seeing the city I missed.
