I don't really understand this line of thought. An agreement is worthless unless it's followed through with, and I don't see any indication that the Trump administration would follow through this regardless.
My interpretation of "stick with" was "adhere to." And frankly, anything other than actively tearing down existing environmental supports and defenses will be a welcome surprise.

Trump distancing himself from the 'alt right' white supremacists. Could we see them become actually angrier about that now that he seems to be back-pedalling on a lot of his campaign promises? If so I wonder how that will manifest itself?
