Sounds like it’s generally sort of cool verses followed by soaring oh oh oh choruses that make me want to kill myself
yeah when Dave goes further into the stadium arena rock chorus mode, it really hurt his music.

I have zero understanding of what Dave Grohl is thinking when he writes one of his horrible songs nor why anyone on the planet would like it.
I also don't personally know a single person who likes them.
So their continued high visibility is entirely baffling to me.

I like them very much up thru One By One. After that it’s more like I dig a couple of songs from each album.

I do like the first two albums. I'm good after that.

This is about as full throated a defense you will get from me but I don’t think any of the three singles are bad, but I don’t know that they go far enough to be interesting. It’s as if Dave knows he needs to shake things up but won’t fully commit to getting weird. It’s less paint-by-stadium-rock-numbers than the last few albums.
Looking backwards, there are exactly three Foo Fighters albums I would really revisit with fond memories- the debut, The Colour and the Shape, and Wasting Light. Outside of an odd song here or there, none of the rest appeal to me.
