This was a really good time. Reminded me of Lost Boys, Return of the living dead and Gremlins (three movies I love)
Really love this particular vibe, particularly around Halloween. The Monster Squad, The Blob ‘88, Night of the Creeps, and Killer Klowns from Outer Space also fit nicely in this groove.
Love the original Fright Night. Gonna give the 2011 version a try tonight.

I've heard good things.

Sleepy Hollow, which I had only seen parts of.

This just sucks.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. The only thing Sleepy Hollow has going for it is that it’s not From Hell

The remake is great, almost as good as the original

Surprised to see so much Sleepy Hollow hate. I really like it, stunning gothic atmosphere. The script kinda sucks but whatever, that’s a secondary consideration when your movie looks that good and has Ray Park graphically decapitating people

I also have a special little nook of appreciation for that movie in my self. It has a real feel to it.

Sure, but this hasn't always been the case. Ed Wood and Fear and Loathing are great movies with excellent performances.

I haven't seen a single Pirates of the Carribean movie. I remain pure.

I don't think I can be bothered with anything involving Orlando Bloom.

8.1 on IMDb is nothing to sneeze at though!

Bloom is great in the Netflix show Easy. But if you're not a Swanberg fan then you'll hate it.

Also, yeah, the first Pirates movie is a lot of fun.

Sleepy Hollow is great. I remember being blown away by seeing Palpatine in a different role.

Great is still a stretch. It looks cool in parts but let's not get carried away.
