They didn't know what to do or where to go. A whole lot of meandering with some violence sprinkled in, just for its sake, and then it just kinda ends. 4.2/10.
The youngest Weaseling strongly disagrees with you. She said it was great and had a ball watching it.

I never saw the theatrical release because the person I wanted to see it with passed away, but oddly enough saw a lot of her in the movie, especially the AA scenes. I didn’t expect to like this as much as I did, but it was great to watch Ewan and Rebecca Ferguson; she was charismatic yet menacing. It probably could have stood on its own if it wasn’t a continuation of the Shining, I think.
I havent seen the directors cut, but i remember having a good time at the theatre. Ferguson was good yeah.
Also sorry about your loss.

something kinda hilarious about Terrifier 3: the movie is perfectly fine depicting the most graphic, heinous violence you will ever see, (it's it's thing really, duh) yet, it makes every effort possible to not show any nudity whatsoever in certain love makin kinda scenes, which i just think is weird. spoiler alert sorry
also like, what kind of movie can't work without the graphic violence? like, i think that really sucks. you really could just show only the violent scenes and that's really what the whole movie is about. Everything else is just filler. I'm not antiviolence, but violence should be in service of some kind of plot. I think movies like this should be ashamed of themselves. It's weird people celebrate it. It's perverse.

haha.. if you see it you'll know what i'm referring to.. there's a specific scene where it seems they went to great lengths to avoid showing any nudity.. i just found it bizarre, considering the kind of movie it is.. like, THAT'S where they draw the line haha.. you literally just blew up a bunch of children waiting to see santa .. sorry spoiler alert

There’s a lot of baggage with full on nude scenes these days in terms of filming them

I thought tree only watched movies that say something? He'll watch goreporn, but not one of the most influential action cinematic experiences of the 90s?

One of the best. Though still not my favorite Powell, personally.
