Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I watched this again last night. I liked it significantly less this time. Felt much more shallow and empty. Still pretty well made, but flawed. 6.87/10.

I watched the new Almodovar movie last night. Kinda had to power through the first 40 minutes, but I ended up liking it. Like every English-language Almodovar movie, the dialogue sounds like it was translated verbatim from Spanish, so it's stilted to all hell.

Loved part 1 of Horizon despite its flaws (thought the San Pedro Valley stuff was considerably weaker than the other two sections and ending with a long preview montage for part 2 is a seriously bizarre choice). Stellar cast and everyone brings it, and the Montana/Wyoming scenery is stunningly gorgeous. Haven't seen that kind of imagery in a movie in a long time.

Have they announced what they are doing with 2? Is it just going right to a streaming service now?

Costner claims it's still getting a theatrical release but no date is confirmed.

Watched this on the flight home from Scotland this weekend. The movie was good, especially the scenery, but that montage at the end was very disjointed and weird. So that was a preview montage or was it a summary of what happened after the "ending" and prior to part two? That was really weird.
