Okay so, I had 3 of the 5 letters (but in the wrong places) on my second guess. When that happens I type an "x" where I don't know a letter and put the ones I do have in spots where I know they have to go based on their incorrect placement in the previous guesses. Then I play around with letters to replace the placeholder "x".

In doing so today, out of pure frustration, I typed in the answer and hit enter fully expecting it to be an illegitimate guess.

I was SHOCKED to see it was the real answer.

i had nothing but 4 yellows going into my last guess and just put the last 4 letters in the correct order in place, and tried the correct word out of frustration expecting a whiff

Fucking hell. 5 today. Only had the fourth letter until that guess. Didn’t realize that was a legitimate word. I would’ve thought it was too “slangy” to be real.
