It's so good that it transcends the TV thread and has earned a place in the movies thread

Sadly, Gladiator II isn’t very good.

A Different Man was good, if you can find it. Escape at Dannnemora was recently added to.Netflix. It's great
The latter is a show. And I have seen it.
Escape at Dannnemora is one of the best TV miniseries I've ever seen.

Not surprised. If you're someone like let's say me, who has been jones'ing to go to the theater for awhile but the options suck, is it worth it for matinee price?

Don't say that - I'm going along on Saturday to see it

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I thought Crowe was such a baller actor back then too. He is good, but not to the level I used to think.

It's treacly and kind of clumsy, but there's a charm to it. I admire its earnestness

At least the first one had memorable performances from Crowe, Phoenix, Oliver Reed, and some of the side characters. Denzel is pretty good in the new one, but everyone else is forgettable.

Pascal needs to stick to Mando and The Last of Us, where he has minimal speaking lines.

Why does the rest of the world get Gladiator II before the US?
