The book is super not great. But I bet Finch finds a way to gem up the adaptation. Very excited to see this.

yeah he is one of those directors i just enjoy. And the cinematic experience of going there, relax and see whatever story he is bringing.

Pure cinema.

The Skeleton Twins sucked. Boilerplate "indie drama" with a prosaic, pedestrian style and a brutally conventional narrative structure replete with eye-rollingly empty plot devices. I also started to get annoyed with the protagonists about half-way through. Luke Wilson's character was the most interesting and likable one there, and the movie kinda treats him like shit. It's a pretty mean-spirited movie, really.

I'm pretty excited to see that. I want good Cronenberg back.

I'm surprised it took you to the half way point to get annoyed by the protagonists.

Those are good ones, but Videodrome is better, and A History of Violence is a masterpiece.

Haven't seen Videodrome. Really didn't care for A History of Violence.

I could totally understand why someone wouldn't like it. It has a very weirdly stilted surface.

I should mention that Cosmopolis is one of my favourite films, and that you probably aren't going to like this.

X-Men: Days of Future Past. Goofy, and horrendous make-up, but a decent way to pass a coupla hours. (That's what she said).

Y'all should see Borgman. Really well done. Has some imagery that is hard to forget. And if you haven't seen the trailer, don't watch it.

This is How We Live Now.

Bizarre mashup of sappy teen romance and apocalyptic nightmare. Might have worked as one or the other.

Monkey Warfare. Perfect for this massive hangover.
