Finally gotten to Royal Rumble. Decent event so far. Starting the main event now. Enjoyed the female Royal Rumble quite a bit.
Have not been spoiled, and will try to keep it that way. Will be my first delayed Wrestlemania since the 2000s.

Had a lot of fun with the Royal Rumble match. That was great.
Watched the highlights of the Elimination Chamber, and it was just ok.
Raw’s been nothing special, so I’ll just jump straight into Wrestlemanis today.

Wrestlemania without an audience at the Elimination Chamber does not look good. I know health is the most important, but do wonder if they couldn’t have done more to make this look good.

Done. Happy for the new champ, though there wasn’t much room for celebrating.

I haven’t looked back in the thread at all, so this probably was mentioned at some point, I apologize. Anyway, Vice has a TV series called “Dark Side of the Ring”. I watched two episodes tonight. The first episode I saw was about a dude named New Jack. Holy hell, this guy is fucking crazy. There were a couple parts that I had to turn away from the screen for a moment because I couldn’t handle the violence I was seeing. I’m far from a wrestling scholar, I never watched ECW, and I don’t think I’d ever even heard of this guy before. I can’t believe he’s still alive, and I can’t believe he didn’t actually murder anyone in wrestling.

The 2 part Benoit episode is excellent, and most of the ones from season one are very good as well.

I'd love to see a few of those turn up at AEW.
I think McMahon is just butt hurt that XFL failed again.

The McMahons donated $18.5M to the FL GOP right before that announcement was made...

They took the best TNA had, did nothing with them, and fired all but two (three if you include backstage) after a few years.
They can do what they want. But it’s stupid as well. Several of those guys are a league above performers that earn a living year after year in the WWE.

In more awful news, Howard Finkel passed away. The Fink is a legend without peer, and from all accounts was a sweetheart of a guy.
Should be noted that there are hundreds of stories about how awful he was treated over the years by the higher-ups at WWE. Obviously he stayed there for 40 years or something, but given current events I thought it should be noted.

They haven’t said that, he’s been in declining health for a long time. I think he may have been an assisted living facility though, so it is certainly possible.

Bought a Fite AEW Plus subscription. Will try it out a little while. It's on Apple TV as well, and has all the old episodes. I haven't seen any so far, or watched any results, apart from knowing a few minor things, like who the champion is.
