Like you don’t know
I know the movie as In Bed With Victoria, if VG hadn't mentioned Virginie Efira I'd have assumed it was something else

BurtReynolds wrote:Cromwell 1970 - a bit dry and by the numbers, but I enjoyed it.

The Madness of King George 1994 - I found this to be a cruel, ugly little movie. Fail!

The Bounty 1984 - boy, that young Mel Gibson was a handsome fella! Think I've seen it before. Too much kissing, not enough naval warfare. Pretty good.

Give me some more recommendations of movies with fancy costumes, please.

Tonight I watched a movie called Chainsaws Were Singing, a slasher horror-comedy musical from Estonia. Shot right up to my top 10 of the year. Fucking wonderful movie, incredible joke density, a lot of gorey deaths, a super appealing Gonzo filmmaking style and a spirit that reminded me of the second Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. Wild. Had an amazing time

I’m gonna keep an eye out for that to make up for dismissing Jeannette when you recommended it

It's so goooood!
So this happened. Had no idea it was Part One. I enjoyed it. Absolutely gorgeous film. It’s been so long since I’ve seen the play, I have no idea if there are any differences. Since Part One is almost as long as the play, I have to assume so. The winged monkeys were fucking COOL. I’m not one of the people who absolutely will be counting down the days til Part Two (like Mrs Wease) but I’ll go see it.

Conclave was pretty damn riveting. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Beautifully shot. Great score. Great cast. I imagine Ralph Fiennes will get plenty of awards talk for this performance.

Is “the secret that could shake the foundation of the Vatican,” or whatever the spiel is — is it child molestation or something else?
It’s something else.

I just watched a Ben Shapiro video about how Catholics should be outraged by this movie and it made me like it even more.

My wife decided that last night we were watching Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Hated pretty much everything about it. When it got the end she said 'Well, that was pretty good.'

I think we might be getting a divorce.
