I don't know why anyone pays attention to critics about anything. any type of art is so subjective. the way i see it with all forms of art (books, movies, music, paintings etc...) either i like it or think i bet someone else likes it but its not for me

and i say that as a proud supporter of Matthew Broderick's Godzilla

I can’t think of anyone, offhand, that your example would pertain to for me. Kinda a flip side to your scenario is you really dig someone and they point out their favorites and influences but you hate those acts. Does that change your opinion of the artist you do like? Example: Mike McCready and KISS. He’s an unabashed fan. Yet most on this board hate KISS. (Not me, I’m with Mike). Does him liking KISS make anyone like him less?

eddie personally said i should be ashamed for liking Dance Hall Days yet i still gave them 600 bucks this last tour :)

AskPearlJam: Peeps-guest says: this is for everyone.....being around the same age group as me, you have to have a 80's one hit wonder song that you're ashamed to admit you like, for me, it's either Flock of Seagulls, "I Ran," or Wang Chung "Dance Hall Days." What's yours?
Eddie: Oh. Why be ashamed? Pearl_Jam: Except for maybe "Dance Hall Days." That's shameful.
Mike: "Dercammisar." "Der Kommisar"
Stone: Mine is "You Spin Me Around Baby" by Dead or Alive and for that matter, the song, "Wanted Dead or Alive."
Eddie: And now I'm ashamed of them.

Dance Hall Days is, quite possibly, my favorite 80s tune.

And Stone likes Wanted Dead or Alive. He should’ve named on that with them at the HoF induction.

This has been bothering me for awhile, but I need to change the name of the Alice in Chains thread to something with more personality, like the other band threads. What should I name it?

If you have a soup that is blended - like a butternut squash soup for example - are you eating it or drinking it?
