Wat
I just didn't know that people loved Eddie Redmayne
Yeah, what did you see him in that made you love him, Ruddo. I just browsed his filmography and I haven't seen any of it and none of it looks very appealing.
Jupiter Ascending
Theory of Everything
Like Minds
The Danish Girl

Also was great on Broadway in the revival of Cabaret

Seems like pretty standard issue (minus the magical hat) - I never got to choose which house I was in at high school

Yes i love it!
Cool! I'll stop mentioning that series in replies then......don't want another Kneecap fiasco

I have no interest whatsoever in The Day of the Jackal. But I do love Eddie... sell me on the show.

Here's the thing, I fucking hated the 1997 (or whatever) movie. That's my only frame of reference. That movie made me want to die. That's why I had an instant eversion to the show. But I honestly love Eddie Redmayne's work. Do you think it's worth watching the show with all that in mind?

It is nothing like the Bruce Willis movie. If anything, the story is more like the original Day of the Jackal movie from 1973

Are we talking the Bruce Willis film here? I didn't like that one much either - this is a much better take on it all. More a modern day Bond type thing perhaps.....or maybe it's just the intro song that causing me to get that vibe

The Spy who Loved Me. This is a huge step up from Golden Gun. Very entertaining and ridiculous.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Casino Royale (2006)

Haven't watched a Bond film in a few years and somehow never started the Craig era.

This was a good bit of fun and I definitely preferred the tone over the Brosnan era. This is also awesome: Craig was also asked to dye his hair brown for the role but he refused calling it "out of the question"; he instead suggested to cut his hair short for more a "brutal appearance"

Don't believe I watched ten films this year.

1. Dune 2
2. Furiosa
3. Alien: Romulus
4. Civil War
5. Watchmen: Part 1

I clearly didn't watch enough movies this year. Road House really took the wind out of my sails!

I've only seen like 20 movies from this year and these were the only memorably good ones of those:

Casa Bonita Mi Amor
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1
In a Violent Nature
Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver

If you count Red Rooms as 2024, that towers above the others.
