Anora.
Great modern trash screwball comedy really. Mikey Madison is wonderful and the movie looks stunning. Sean Baker is one of my favorite directors these days.
Spoiler: show i did not liked the russian mob with a good heart though. I did not cared for the ending that much either.

Trash Humpers is definitely one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. But I think it’s also perhaps Korine’s most personal work - it’s him confronting his own art and his relationship with his subjects, and also grappling with becoming a husband and father, and being an enfant terrible settling into domestic life.

Im a huge Korine fan since Kids. Not every movie from him is for everyone, thats to say the least, but the dude has a consistency on pushing barriers and trying to deliver something unique.
Still, my favorite is Gummo. I was hooked when i saw it when it came out. Wonderful really. Then Spring Breakers, one of my favorites from its era.

Is Trash Humpers what it sounds like? Is it about people who go around humping garbage?

You don't have to try to impress us, tree. You don't have to watch this art house drivel.
Watch Nemesis instead. Be the real, authentic you.

I loved Spring Breakers, but I think I'm too normy for his earlier stuff.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
