how dare you compare 2024 Pearl Jam to generic energetic guitar musicJorge wrote:Thank you. Is there much precedent for sports shows casually playing unreleased songs? Couldn't it have been just one of those generic "energetic guitar music" tracks you can license off Audio Jungle for 15 bucks? a bit of precedent actually. Fox did it during baseball season - this is how the fixer premiered (a clip). Verizon commercial introduced us to river cross during Super Bowl 53.Jorge wrote:Thank you. This has been discussed, but there’s broad consensus that it sounds like modern PJ, plus the snare sounds just like Earthling, and they took a similar approach to teasing DOTC. Also the official pit took down a link of the clip I think? All signs point to legit.Jorge wrote:Thank you. Is there much precedent for sports shows casually playing unreleased songs? On these points generally, this was a good post:tragabigzanda wrote:This has been discussed, but there’s broad consensus that it sounds like modern PJ, plus the snare sounds just like Earthling, and they took a similar approach to teasing DOTC. ole 2 doesn't excite you?Monkey_Driven wrote:I've listened to that clip 10 times and I'm still baffled at how many of you can have a strong opinion of it.
If that is indeed from a new PJ song they should do the greatest troll of all-time and add in the Mike Tirico commentary.Monkey_Driven wrote:I've listened to that clip 10 times and I'm still baffled at how many of you can have a strong opinion of it.
This settles nothing. You must love or hate it.Jorge wrote:Very interesting. Thank you
The Pit taking down links to it more or less settles the matter
I haven't listened to it. I just meant that it's probably a PJ song if The Pit is taking down links.Strat wrote:This settles nothing. You must love or hate it.Jorge wrote:Very interesting. Thank you

Your opinion on the song is no less relevant than the rest of us who have heard 4 seconds of it.Jorge wrote:I haven't listened to it. Unless they're taking them down for "misinformation" or whatever
