The final scene of the movie.
And it’s mind melting.
That says to me it’s somehwere we’ve seen before but we’d never expect it or to see it again here in this franchise.
Mustafar? Jedi temple on coruscant? The cloner planet? The homestead on tatooine?
OMG OBI WANS HUT!!!

Look at the fb clip on the previous page.
Kevin Keith visited the set and apparently was told by JJ not to visit one of the stages cos it’s the final shot. The crew told him it’s mind melting.
He tells it with much more detail and excitement

Someone make a note of this weekend and the “mind melting” final scene so in December we can look back and see if it was truly mind melting or not.

A company that makes comics comes to Comic-Con and discuss their slate of movies / tv shows.
A movie franchise comes to Comic Con to discuss their slate of books and comics.
The times they are a changin’

So something that probably would have been interesting in the movie series but is not used so instead we can focus on Death Star III. Cool.

Its is kinda sad right? SW really failed at getting the hype going.

Marvel which came from comics now dependent on the big screen and Star Wars which came from the big screen now branching out into comics and books.
Both making tv shows and more movies.
Both doing fuckin insane money in every format.
Get some perspective lads.
Tbh I wouldn’t enjoy Star Wars if it was happening on the sheer and vast amount of stuff and pace marvel are currently at and have planned.
Hype means nothing VG at the end of the day. And you know how this goes. Once the marketing hype kicks in for TROS it will be relelentless
They know what they’re doing.

Ps putting something a huge amount of people are dying to know in a comic format can only be a good thing. Keeps the medium alive and the medium has a great many brilliant story tellers. Charles Soule is definitely one of them. You only have two hours or so to use on screen. If it can’t happen on screen I’m just happy and we all should be that it’s happening in some accessible format.

Uh, there have been Star Wars comics and books for decades and decades at this point.

Obviously. They aren’t part of this new canon though so it’s sort of redundant. And they were nothing like as interesting or profitable as these are to be fair.
The cross pollenation from movies to comics to books is brilliant especially if you’re deep into the story and Connections even tangential

Oh dont get me wrong dime..Hype is means nothing yes. But when SW came back they were trying to do Marvel. Having two movies per year, a saga, spinoffs, the tv stuff...and they failed to get there.
Im happy they failed, i want my SW to be an event.

I don’t think they ever tried to be marvel to begin with.
You might see that now though of the Johnson and GOT lads trilogies intertwine but who knows.
If we get Ahsoka and Ezra in IX with an open door to spin offs I’ll buy the marvel argument.
I can’t see that right now though. It’s a very different animal. And it’s been crafted very differently so far
It hasn’t failed either. Last few new canon books have been best sellers as have all the films.
One film didn’t do as well. That doesn’t mean it’s all failed.
Stop with the failure hysteria

Im not talking about Box Office.
Im saying i think they failed at get more people interested in their movies. Marvel beat them. SW films used to be events as big as the marvel ones now, and its not happening.
Man, even the last saga film seems so watered down in terms of marketing.
Also, its just a comment i couldt care less about it. Like i said i wish they only did the last saga film and thats it.

I was of the opinion way bad that they should get this new trilogy out of the way then do the standalones. It didn’t work out that way but none of them failed. They don’t have to hype as you suggested. And are careful not to. People are gonna go anyways. It’ll make $1.x billion globally no matter what.
Your interest has dwindled and that’s fair enough. doesn’t equate to failure.
If they were banging uiu jver the head relentlessly all year long with marketing and new stuff you’d already be tired. And probably angry about it. I would too.
I care not a fuck if it even truly fails any one of them. I just hope I like the film or show.
I love marvel and think it’s relentless overkill at the same time.
Horses for courses.
