Mostly I'm confused about the reasoning

It's bloated and I only care about a little bit of it; it runs out of ideas quickly. I wish it was longer???

maybe he means it'd be more palatable in smaller doses?

It's my understanding that this is supposed to be a massive 20+ hour, 9 part monstrosity, so I don't know why it wasn't just a miniseries. Smaller doses or chopping it into episodes might help...

Definitely didn't wish this first installment was longer. Because there isn't much to it.

Gandahar (1987)

French animated movie. Extremely crude animation. Extremely weird French comic vibe. Not very good, but I did find the slow pace and synth score to be a little mesmerizing at times.

Has a lot of celebrity voices for some reason: Christopher Plummer, Glenn close, penn and teller, Jennifer Leigh. Yet everyone sounds the same and it's sometimes hard to tell who is speaking.

Watched Birdy(1984). Directed by Alan Parker(Midnight Express among others). Not quite a great film but worth the watch if you like Parker.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Watching some silly bullshit by the name Operation Petticoat. It's not great, but I'm never unhappy to be spending time with Cary Grant and Tony Curtis.

Jude Law was great. Also some fun choices with the color correction and music.

Odd that I watch very few movies, but this and my last one (Juror 2) both feature Nicholas Hoult.
just finished this one, and i liked it very much. Good framing, photography and the cast was good. Nicholas Hoult had a terrific year, i saw this one and Nosferatu today, double Hoult program i guess.

and Juror #2 had also a very good performance from him.
