Interstellar is probably my second or third least favorite Nolan joint. I think it's pretty tepid and overlong and not really engaging.

Finally watched Top Gun: Maverick. They really pulled it off. Better than the original, one of the best sequels of all time.

It doesn’t make any sense she would send her dad away after all that time and all that effort. But it does make sense. Perfect sense. And it’s heartbreaking.
An infinitely more vast unknowable than any black hole or astrophysical question.

Wow, that was a lot. Not at all what I expected, but still brilliantly made and acted.

Clouds of Sils Maria.

great fucking movie. A masterclass of acting between Stewart and Binoche. also a meditation about the industry and aging too.

Yeah, jessica chastain for the win. Love these political courtroom dramas. She is so fucking good in this.

Yeah, me too. A lot darker and weirder and deeper than I was expecting, some straight-up genre film moments.

But also funnier. It doesn’t take itself that serious and I love that.
I also like it a lot how they play with spaces and situations.

Well I was expecting it to be a little funny. It's the other stuff that surprised me.

Very funny. Loved the cast. lleana Douglas! and of course one of the best roles from Nicole Kidman.

Watched Heretic last night. Was a LOT darker than I'd expected. Don't think my wife was thrilled with it

The Wild Robot

Pretty good family movie, i'd describe it as The Iron Giant with environmentalism replacing the Cold War themes.
