I'm not doing anything new per se, just riffing off of these recipes:
http://www.ediblebrooklyn.com/2014/scre ... cream-day/

And then I'm getting my syrups from this company:
http://portlandsyrups.com/

I liked this company a lot, because they only use cane sugar and natural botanicals -- no HFCS, artificial junk, etc. I used the coffee syrup last night, it was . Tonight I'm trying the Vanilla-Spice Rooibos syrup.
Much thanks. You ever had the Detroit variety?

Nope, didn't realize there was a difference. After looking up the Detroit egg cream, seems like the exact same concept, just with a different brand of syrup.
Detroit also uses Vernors ginger ale. And it HAS to be Vernors.

Vernors is fucking gross. I wouldn't even call it ginger ale.

I can't argue against you, but it sure makes a better tasting Detroit egg cream.

This was very easy and very awesome.
Except for the halibut cheeks. There's no way I'd get those anywhere near me.
