it's actually really easy if you already have a passport. which is dumb because if you have a passport why tf would you get a real ID.

source: my license was expiring and so I just said fuck it and got one.

i'll just renew my license by mail...LA county dmv's are the worst places on earth

You take your passport, current drivers license, social security card, and a bill with current address on it. Not complicated at all

also to be fair I had a DD214 and I had just gotten my W2 so between the two plus the passport that's most of the requirements.
