I'm really intrigued by Lupita's character now. I was assuming she may just be all MC and it would be some weird ass alien voice. Her lines in the trailer appear to be of importance and now im excited for her character.

Speculate away! There's been plenty the past few pages
So, I haven't read any plot or character spoilers. In fact, you all seem way more acquainted even with the characters names than I am. It's kind of amazing how you already know everybody. But, based on the fact that she's saber-less in all promo materials, do we think the new girl (the Luke of this thing, presumably) will be non-force? I kinda like the idea of the main character not having force powers for some reason.

I can kinda get on board with this, too. If that character is some sort of relic collector then context could help that shot a lot.
But let's also not act like there weren't plenty of hamfisted moments in the OT as well.
Kylo Ren is to Vader as what LV is to Kanye

I think it's interesting that she isn't seen with a light saber but I have a feeling she is the spawn of han and leia. With the opening dialogue and the shots of her staring off into space, it appears that her story arch will be the main one. And then you have Lupita's character asking her who she is and "just let it in" etc... I think it will revolve around her learning the ways of the force, and boyega being a pilot hero similar to han.

I did everything I could, pulled every string, and tried to redeem every favor from anyone even remotely in a position to help me out (including some kinda big deal casting directors) to get an audition for the prequels. This was back when I was acting, obviously.
The only thing I think, for myself, that would be cooler... is being in an episode of The X-Files.

Interesting. How do we know who the voice over is speaking to/about, though? I need to watch it again!
Abrams sure does like to have ladies kicking all the ass. It could be fun to flip the roles this time though, and have the Han type be the central character on the journey and the Jedi be the supporting character(s). Especially with all the "are all the things we hear true!!!!!" stuff. Might be fun to have the regular folks tell the story and let the force powers be something they have to battle/wade through/deal with.
I don't know. I suppose everyone's gotta lil force in 'em, eh?

He's the one with the light saber, right? The Storm Trooper?

She asks her "Who are you?" To which she responds "im nobody". Im guessing the further dialogue is between them as well. I could be wrong though!

Love the trailer. Watched it 8 times already. When Rey is crying, it looks like:
- Spoiler: show
- she is crying over Chewy's body. Have y'all noticed that? Thoughts?

- As weird as it sounds, Chewie might be the hardest death I could imagine in this film. If anyone's going to die... please don't let it be Chewie...

There's lots of speculation that Han/Leia are so somber in this trailer because Kylo Ren is their son. It's been revealed officially that that's not his real name (sort of like a title like "Darth Vader"), so chances are his name/identity has meaning. It'd also be slightly lifting from the EU. I'm hoping not...I'm already skeptical about the new superweapon thing, and I don't think I could handle a hidden identity.

- Yup, if either both Han / Chewie get got in this film, I'm gonna be so sad.
Also, did y'all notice the "I just shit myself" look Finn has when Kylo Ren comes after him?

That surely would be interesting. Im curious to find out how they lost track of their child in the first place.
