The still image does look great, but once it starts moving and talking it's super distracting. The eyes and mouth look obviously inhuman. Not their fault, I suppose. It'll probably be a few more years before this can be done perfectly.

Watch it again. It's fine. The voice is just too much for the face. Too 'robust' or forceful.
That's about mixing and matching in animation.

when i saw it in theaters i was completely blown away by how perfect it was. Didnt take me out at all. Next time i see it on the big screen ill take a closer look.

The tail thing was funny the first time insofar as it was a nod to the audience; a joke in the spirit of the project. But, yeah, it always looked fucking stupid and terrible. And I hate it.
