Walking out of a really great movie and back into the world is always such a strange feeling, so to be immediately confronted with this loud woman asking an impossible question just made it all the stranger. It was really very funny

I think the most memorable post-viewing walks for me were Inglorious Basterds and Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood. That overwhelming feeling that I just witnessed true greatness.

I didn't see Arrival, Killers of the Flower Moon or Three Billboards... at the cinema because I'm a big, dumb idiot, but I'm sure it would have been a similar feeling.

When I saw Mulholland Drive in the theatre during the original theatrical run, it was at a small art house in KC. There were maybe 12 people at the screening.

My girlfriend and I were both weepy messes. We stayed in our seats through the entire credits. Every person that excited said something along the lines of "I don't know that that was but it was amazing."

My girlfriend had never seen a David Lynch film before. She was shook. But she loved it.

Watched "Rumours"... The trailer was so much better.

Flow was nice. I loved the score.

The Brutalist

By the intermission, I was ready to declare it my movie of the year. The second half, I'm not so sure about. I'm going to need some time to think.

This is intentional. Many lovers of the movie had to overcome this. It asks questions and doesn't answer them. It's turning America upside down.

i enjoyed 2/3 of the scenes

On the Waterfront. Good stuff. Baller cast and Brando is a stone cold hunk. Malden was a real badass as the minister.

My kids were streaming "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" on Peacock (instead of Max) and it turns out Peacock airs an "extended" cut where like a dozen dvd/bluray deleted scenes are spliced back into the film without the director's input. It was unnerving to watch, like being gaslighted by a movie. Would not recommend.

Actually, I didn't find it that much of a slog. I plowed through it.

Strange Darling. This movie sucked.

Love and Mercy - Dano was so good in this, but Cusack didn't work for me at all. Still very much enjoyed it.

A Real Pain - It was good it was fine.

I am born anew. I saw the face of God in that Goblet

On a bit of an old movie kick at the moment. Watched "Stalag 17" a few weeks ago which is one of my faves of all time. Last night it was "Cool Hand Luke". Paul Newman is ungodly handsome.

Think it might be "To Kill a Mockingbird" next. And have "The Third Man" on my radar as well.
