yikes. I may have completely moved on from this system and into Switch land by then.
Goddammit 4 months?! I’m desperate for a new game to play. Why are there so few games that look appealing? I barely ever play anything anymore.

They should just wait until the release of the next gen consoles and do a simultaneous release at this point.
Did you play Witcher 3?

I tried it years ago but couldn’t get into it

Same. The gameplay was not my cup of tea.
What's the last game you played?

I played a little Just Cause 4 recently which was amusing enough but failed to maintain my interest

I can see that. I'm half-halfheartedly playing Just Cause 4 now too. It lacks a lot of the silly
gamey aspects of JC3 that i loved. that game had great side quests and stunt/flying/wingsuit mini-game challenges that made core territory takeover mechanic more engaging. 4 is just far too concerned with it's (forgettable) story.

Horizon: Zero Dawn coming to PC and it sounds like more Playstation exclusives will do the same. It's a new world.

I have a strong suspicion Sony is going to sell the Decima engine to anyone. Both Death Stranding and Horizon use it.

I am having the opposite problem of LV, too many good games to play. Haven't even been able to get into God of War cause I've been into Death Stranding, and need to play Control after that. PS4 has been a great system.

Arguably the best ever. It's certainly in my top 3.

Are you guys enjoying Death Stranding? I was slightly intrigued a few quick playthroughs, but as others have said my backlog was so dense that I couldn't devote the time needed to really get into it. Plus it didn't really grab me from the get-go either, but seemed to have potential....
I'm just bidding my time till RE3 and Last of Us 2 are upon us. Just praying there are no more Last of Us delays....

I have a feeling I would dig Death Stranding's meditative, repetitive nature, but I have to be really particular with the number of 30+ hour games I play in a given year. I've sunk 20+ hours into Assassin's Creed Odyssey and I'm only at level 27.

I'm enjoying it, was thinking about writing a long post about it and probably will now that you asked. I think I'm the only person playing it here, which is strange, but it seems some people got really turned off by initial impressions.
I will say it has confirmed for me that Kojima is definitely a genius and may be a little crazy as well.

Yes, indeed.

I'd be interested in the feedback for sure. Been an MGS fan for years and definitely plan to get back into Death Stranding; the visuals alone and mixture of serenity and terror in the opening chapter were enough to spark my interest. Just haven't had enough time to give it proper attention.
Also not even halfway through Control yet but it's keeping me interested--it's a bit bonkers though. I still haven't played Devil May Cray 5 yet, but found the demo pretty fun--I used to play the original a ton back in the day for PS2 days. Capcom's been on fire lately and DMC5 was one of the best rated games last year so I think it's worth a try.

Nintendo filed new trademarks for a bunch of old games - GBA, 64, GCN, NES, DS . Looks like a new Classic system or plenty of new virtual console games.

I really don't want to turn into one of those guys, but I am considering buying MLB The Show 2020 after just buying The Show '19 last year (I previously went 6 years between versions). Had a good time playing different challenges and unlcoking things last year (without any microtransactions, which I felt a sense of accomplishment for), but I almost feel like it's a waste because I haven't touched the franchise and other modes from last year, and the roster update will be so minuscule. But David Ortiz will be unlockable this year.
- Spoiler: show
- Ok, the main reason I'm thinking about upgrading is for Ortiz. Sue me.

I buy NBA 2k every year and have no reservations about it. Do what brings you joy.

You're going to convince me to pay $60 for a game I already have. Thanks!
