haha, ed norton's eddie story is pretty cool. he also inadvertently articulated why guys like robin pecknold and dierks bentley shouldn't be singing pearl jam songs.

What's the bet that PJ don't allow www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com to host the video from tonight?

or just stop wishing Eddie had the voice he did in 1994 and enjoy it

8-)

Messing. I haven't even watched the performance yet. I stayed up this late so I might as well watch the entire show, yea?

I don't think he did too bad with the vocals. I always have low expectations for 'one song' performances like these, because the vocalist doesn't really have a chance to warm up the vocal chords. Plus, TV studios are traditionally cold (so the audience doesn't get too comfy and fall asleep), so the cold air can have an adverse effect on the vocal chords too.

However, my one complaint is that I think the sound engineer did a poor job of the instrument mixing.

I thought that too. The make up crew did a top job, he looks 10 years younger.

I would not fuck him. But if he felt the need to run his hands through my hair, I would sit there and take it.

That was his "You're such a bullshitter, Jimmy" facial expression.

I have no idea. I do not remember that Fallon story. Whatever they did in the end was great. I think the band maybe would straight up put more work into a cover of a band they respect then into one of their own songs.

im watching the fill show now so forgive me...
But, man, i get fucking giddy when a guy like Fallon talks about/introduces them as the musical guest for the night. MOckingly singing Sirens, talking about how awesome they are, number 1 record, crowd going nuts...

That shit still makes me giddy like an idiot.
