Looks like Phelps is on a very different vibe these days, compared to Lochte

I can't figure out whether I think Bolt is a douchebag or not. The dancing before this 200m final is a bit much.

I'm a little confused with the indictment. Did the swimmers file a police report that they were held up at gunpoint?

Isn't it just a case of dudes making up a story and the media running with it?
Seems to be completely blown out of proportion.

From watching the videos it sure looks like they were a little scared with the whole gun pulled on them thing.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Bolt is GOAT. Surely he is allowed a little dancing before the main event

I'm leaning towards liking the guy but he was dabbing in the tunnel.

I also don't understand what crime the swimmer's committed, unless it is against the law in Brazil to fame whore.

Nah, that dude is awesome. For some reason the stuff he does doesn't bother me. Comes across as having fun, not being cocky. But fuck it if it is cocky, he is amazing

The other 2 swimmers already confessed that the story was made up by lochte

United States Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun released a statement late Thursday night that largely confirmed what Brazilian authorities made public earlier in the day.

Sprinters are the cockiest athletes in the world, which is so silly to me. They can run fast. COngrats. Bolt seems kinda tame compared to the rest though.

the 'crime' appears to be that the swimmers signed a written report alleging the robbery. that appears to have been a fraudulent statement at this point.

"Ryan Lochte is basically Brock Turner 2.0 and deserves to be gang-raped in a Brazilian prison."
-IOC Chair, Jerry Sandusky

"Jamaicans are always either happy and dancing; or unhappy with rifles and machetes."
-New England Journal of Medicine

right. but did they initially report the crime to the police or just tell Ryans mom a story at first?
The others confessed to the cops when asked and I'm sure Ryan will when he is questioned by the authority but hasn't he only spoken to media? Like, making up a good story
and the gas station isn't even filing a report

I'm sure the backpedaling they are doing now is not helping the case but it seems there wasn't a big case if the media didn't report on the story.

also, how soon till Ryan Crouser joins the WWE?

What it seems like is that they were piss drunk, they peed outside a gas station, the attendant tried to get them to pee inside, Lochte went full douche bro, security was called, they were sent back to the village and then because he was so drunk and is an idiot, he invented this story, golf his mom and then told a bunch of the international press. Then, he left his buddies to take the fall. All around asshole at this point.

Sorry world, some our athletes don't get out much.

But screw all of that because this has been a fun olympics and Bolt is awesome.

You guys are right about Bolt. The other racers all seem to get a long with him pretty well too.
