I assumed that Hank knew it was Walt when he was on the can. And that he had the FBI bring all those boxes over to get rid of any potential evidence implicating Walt. I have a feeling Hank, Marie, Skylar and the kids take off with Walt's money.

Really? You realize all of those boxes were marked "Copies"? Seemed blatantly clear he was trying to confirm if it really could have been Walt.

How do you know Hank didn't mark them as "copies"? As someone pointed out earlier, Hank can't turn Walt in or have him caught by somebody else. Besides looking completely ridiculous, his medical bills were paid with drug money, which implicates him.

i dont believe hank will break bad. too much tension built up between the two of them that the show will capitalize on.

They can still capitalize on the tension while coming to the same end-- what if we find out in another flash forward, for example, that the Schrader household is in a state similar to the White household?

And really, the "throwdown" between Hank and Walt is what we all expect. It would be crushing/exhilarating to see Hank flush himself down the toilet for all the wrong reasons, just as Skylar did.

Walt even folded a towel to kneel on when he was vomiting, something Gus did once before when he was upchucking the poison he’d fed to his competition.

He’s been taking on characteristics of people he’s killed:
When Walt killed Crazy 8, he started cutting off the crusts of his sandwiches – just as Crazy 8 had done.
Gus drives a Volvo. After Walt kills Gus, at the beginning of Season 5 (at the Denny’s), Walt is driving a Volvo (w/ NH plates).
When Mike and Walt meet at a bar in an earlier season, Walt orders his drink neat while Mike has his on the rocks. After Mike is killed, and Hank offers Walt a drink in his office – he asks for it on the rocks.
You can now add to that list the way Walt uses his car wash as a front, and continues to actively work there.

So when he's at the Denny's on his birthday and does the "52" thing with his bacon as Skyler used to do for him, maybe it's a clue that he has killed her?
Does this mean that he at some point kills Elvis Costello and steals his glasses style?

I agree. I do not see Hank break bad. It's just not in his character. He'll bring Walt down or die trying.

Now I dont think Hank will "break bad" to the point of letting Walt get away with it. However, its not like Hank is a good guy either. He tracks suspects without warrants. He withholds evidence. He involves civilians in investigations. In fact, Hank has proven to be a pretty much awful police officer, both in following the rules and catching criminals.

It's interesting to see this reaction to his character-- all through the series I've viewed Hank as a pretty savvy cop, even if he is obnoxious and plays pretty loose with the rules. Yeah, he went all shithouse on Jesse once; yeah, he involved his brother-in-law in a potentially dangerous off-the-books stakeout; but he was always essentially on the right trail (even if the trail occasionally went cold) when the rest of the DEA was spinning their wheels.

I don't ever recall him purposefully withholding evidence, but I could just be forgetting the circumstance.

Being on the right trail but 10 steps behind isn't really good investigative work. And acting on his hunches without involving the DEA itself is withholding, and beyond that, potentially damaging. Anything he finds doing that is obviously going to be unusable in court. And (i apologize if i am remembering this wrong) didnt he trace Walts extra phone and find Pinkmans car when he killed Tuco? That didn't make him think "hmmm, walt?"

To be honest I don't remember the cell phone/Tuco situation exactly either-- I'll have to re-watch that one of these days, but yeah, if Walt's phone is found in that car...how did he explain that? I'm gonna have to look.

EDIT: From what I'm seeing on a couple sites, Hank was tracking a LoJack on Jesse's car-- does that sound familiar?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's right. He was just tracking Pinkman on the basis of him being Walt's supposed pot dealer. He had no reason to suspect Walt was out there that day.
