That's weird. You know I love the holy shit out of you but why would my tastes have an impact on you one way or another? It's just what I like/dislike. It's not personal, buddy.VinylGuy wrote:Joe´s taste gets me sometimes. Im sorry Len. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
That's interesting. I admit I haven't seen it in years. This makes sense, though. I have a feeling it's one of those movies that I've held onto because of the cast and my respect for Tina Fey. It'll be interesting to see if/how it's changed for me when I next watch it.Jorge wrote:I guess both. We rewatched it in October (because "Mean Girls day" and it had been a long while). Some jokes definitely land differently in hyperwoke 2020 but mostly it just feels very flat and not as clever/funny/charming as it once did.
I had a writing teacher in college who called it the "female Fight Club" and I laughed so hard that she almost kicked me out of class. The Argonaut wrote:It's the ultimate millennial movie
