Yeah, for the most part they do. Their philosophy of giving showrunners complete creative control is great in theory, but doesn't always produce compelling TV.

You can make a blanket statement because most of it sucks

It's a very diverse selection, which I appreciate, but yeah it mostly just sucks.

Maybe they should focus.

So, I was going to make a list of stuff I've enjoyed and rank it (which I did below), but it making the list, I got a look at the ocean of stuff Netflix has produced that I either didn't like or couldn't be bothered to click on. It must be super cheap to make this stuff. A lot is stand up shows. I don't know if those really count as part of this discussion.
