what do you think about a last minute trip there with me? we can sneak into the event and stay at alex's dad's house since it's in kentucky
I'd be up for it but I will be staying with alex in kentucky in early september...he doesnt know yet though
i'll try not to spill the beanz
my dad lives in georgia and i live in tennessee, holmes and watson
I'll text you when we're in Nashville
have you ever been to nashville? if not, let me ask you this: how do you feel about white people?
I've been 2 times and really loved the city...I'd live there if they had an ocean
the beer situation here is not great. restrictive sales laws, and an underwhelming slate of distributors from out of state breweries. some of the local craft brewers are impressive, but it's a surprisingly less robust market than even kentucky's.
I'm sure I'll stumble across something good...I'll be more interested in drinking the brown liquor

Great ending last night. The last two or three hours was excellent, back and forth action. Rory's approach on that par 5 was incredible. You knew he would go on a terror soon after.

You and me both.
This was actually the first major I have really watched this year due to family commitments and I only got to watch because of the long rain delay. I think I got a good one.

i haven't really read about what happened, but based on a snippet of an interview i saw, am i to take it to rory and his playing partner teed off on 18 then played up with mickelson and fowler to end the round? i know vaugely about the rule concerning if a player tees off on a hole the group has the right to finish the hole out, but i'm not sure about them playing up with the group ahead

That is pretty much what happened. It was getting dark rather quickly. They essentially let Rory and his playing partner hit their drives before Mickelson and Fowler hit their second shots. Then they just alternated shots like that from there. They technically never played at exactly the same time but they pretty much did.

what were the scores at that point? and did rickie and phil finish the hole before rory? if not i could see where it may be an advantage to know how rory was doing on the hole...not really sure of the exact situation though

Rory had a two shot lead going into the final hole. The order, if I remember correctly, went something like this...
Phil and Ricky tee off
Rory tees off (almost hits in the water, like 3 feet away from the hazard line)
Phil and Rory hit their approach shots into the par 5
Rory hits his approach shot into a front bunker
Phil almost chips in for eagle
Ricky putts for eagle and misses
Phil makes birdie putt
Ricky lips out birdie putt and makes par
Rory punches one out of the sand
Two putts for birdie and one shot win
Got that?

78 last weekend and 78 this weekend, 3rd last week (off 9, 3 under) first this week. Winning Eclectic by 1/2 a shot with 9 under off the stick. 7 under on the back nine. Two rounds of eclectic to go.
