Nah, no leak that I know of. Those in North America that pre-ordered the EP got it this week (it shipped a bit early, official release is 29 Jul)--12" vinyl. The EP is definitely not as bright as Sad Lover may lead you to believe, but yes, I'm loving his vocals and overall exuberance (for lack of a better word) on that tune especially.

The EP itself is a bit scattered and more in line with the Blues Funeral sound, only a bit more far reaching/experimental, IMO. By scattered I mean it sounds like a collection of outtakes from a full album (as EP's commonly tend to sound like)--as Mark said, these are supposed to be the "goofier" tracks. The title track is fucking gorgeous though. As those have mentioned on the onewhiskey board, I think the opinion on this release will be extremely varied--you'll either love or hate it. The only track I would consider "goofy" is Jonas Pap, but I've been singing the shit out of it after initially not caring for it. Great stuff.

Oh and Grey Diamond Desert is one of my top 5 Trees tracks, good call.

Good interview. Mark does seem increasingly at ease, doesn't he?
