I have to think that the Chiefs should cut Marcus Cooper once Sean Smith comes back from his suspension. Peyton Manning repeatedly toasted him for multiple years, and now it's Rodgers's turn.

In terms of the absolute best/worst, sort of. Lots of teams in the middle that need to shake out.

I wonder who the Bears will draft first overall? No clear cut hiesman QB for them to go after. Its going to be a real shame for them to have an epically bad season and not get something out of it. Im sure there will be good players available but the Bears are too terrible at drafting to figure out who those guys are. They need it to be completely obvious.

I'm very interested to see what the Bears do as well as what the 49ers do regarding a QB in the draft next year. Man, so many teams will need a QB next year. Gonna be interesting to watch.

Manning blew up Flemming. Flemming was subsequently benched and Cooper given the go Monday night. I'm in favor of cutting Cooper but not before Flemming. Flemming should absolutely not be on this roster. Cooper is a liability for sure, but he did show promise in his rookie year. I don't like either of them but we can't let both go.

You obviously know the Chiefs better than I do--I've only seen Flemming blown up once while seemingly every time I've watched Cooper play he's been beaten like a drum. Both are likely terrible, though. They need to hope that the Phillip Gaines injury wasn't too serious.

I think they put up a graphic last night that said GB only has three players who played for another team. Is that possibly accurate??? I saw they said they have like 35 draft picks on the team, which is crazy enough. I don't know if I missed some context for that stat or not, but that sounds insane to me.

Amen to that. Having Smith back is going to help tremendously. But we're not very deep in the secondary. Good QBs (like Manning and Rogers) are gonna continue to eat us alive.

I don't think you missed any context:

I thought the Patriots did well picking up undrafted guys, but the Packers seem to be on another level.

I don't think that graphic was fully accurate. I took a look at their roster and I counted 8 players that played elsewhere some time in their careers. I also think they counted James Jones as one of their three, but I didn't count him because he started his career in GB and has played all of his career there except for last year when he exiled himself to the Black Hole. On the other hand, the 35 draft picks (I counted 36 if you don't include Jones) is actually underestimating the Packers' homegrown talent because they also have a ton of UDFAs that started off with the team.
So overall, while the graphic wasn't perfect the essential point still got across. Ted Thompson is famous for avoiding UFAs like the plague and hoarding compensatory draft picks that come from letting other teams overpay for their players.
