I keep seeing friends who are about 2-3 years older than me getting really pumped about this GNR tour, which I think is super lame (but don't tell them that), and can't help but wonder what percentage of my friends think it's lame how much I'm into PJ because to them the band is a tired has-been.

The percentage is probably way higher than I'm willing to accept.

Considering the outrageous spectacle that is Axl Rose fronting a ragtag collection of the remaining members of AC/DC who haven't lost their marbles or been kicked out of the band, this sounds pretty good!

Is it remotely possible that Axl has the self awareness to realize being stuck in that chair and not being able to jump around allows him to sing without running out of breath and maybe when his leg is better he'll chill out with the stage sprints?

Im impressed with Axl. I mean, the guy shouldnt even be alive at this point, let alone be able to scream like he used to. Maybe there is hope for Vedder?

I'm more disappointed by the fact that it took Axl Rose for AC/DC to play Rock n Roll Damnation and Riff Raff again....

I can think of a lot of things that I would wish for present-day Eddie Vedder, but becoming more like Axl Rose is not among them.

Guys, im just saying Axl's voice is pretty fucking great in all these videos. He's sounded like absolute hell the 10 years prior.

My point, Maybe there is hope for Ed to get his wings back as well.

As long as your definition of "great" is "more shouty but toneless, and somehow the melody of an AC/DC song is too bouncy, so he mostly sticks to just the one note," then yes.

Current Ed is miles better than current Axl, even with all his affectations.

Or, what McP said.
