That’s a bad move
not really. They already have that in the switch. This is the switch lite. For people who want just mobile stuff.
Kind of defeats the purpose of the "Switch" name.
Good point
I tried playing BOTW in handheld mode. Nope. Couldn’t see anything. Loses so much on the small screen
This is all I needed to know to make this a non-starter. Thanks dime.
It might be different for you but I even wear glasses and it’s hard to make anything out especially on your inventory.
Plus you lose the art of it all. All the landscapes and backgrounds in this game are truly beautiful. Properly art in a lot of places.
I’d say to anyone play this game on the biggest screen possible. And I’m a total noob
And finding things like koroks or performing tricky moves are really really difficult in handheld.
Just my experience but Yknow
I’m sure pros like chud would agree with me about this aspect of it

well it definitely isn't blurry on any games from my experience... must be a dime thing

Never said blurry.
Everything is rendered into such a minute tininess it’s hard to make anything out.
Good luck finding mushrooms for example or arrows or whatever in such small tiny scale.

As Dime stated, many games have text that is difficult to see in handheld mode. Especially ports.
This will have an even smaller screen.

I forgot about the onscreen text.
It would be unreadable almost

The versatility is what makes the system so useful to me. Some games just feel better on the TV with the pro controller. Looking at you Breath of the Wild and Smash.

Usually games on the Switch are not on offer, but today several are on a big discount. I bought FIFA 19, Mario Party, Steamworld Dig 2, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids and Sonic Mania.

You can only play with single joy con controller though right?

Yes. But there are no mini games that require any great detail of play. It's fine. There's a fun group challenge on a white water raft that is pretty fun

Steamworld Dig 2 and Mario+Rabbids are both great.
