Far less stressful, far harder to get tickets.
Yes. Fair though.
I feel strongly that someone with a 20+ year fan club number should have better odds. Like an extra "entry" for every 5 years in the club or something.
Why would anyone new bother joining?

(Apart from all the other reasons.)
Rank the other reasons.

I meant all the other reasons a sensible person wouldn’t join; I worded that poorly.

In what way? Is the lottery weighted by seniority? I’m sorry I’m asking all these newbie questions.

You don't have to spend an entire tuesday hitting F5. Like if you are a nurse or teacher or something.

The locals just sign up all thier neighbors instead.

I’ve never had a problem getting tickets since I dropped it, I’m just trying to help my chances a little bit.

There will always be tickets available for a large venue. In fact you might be able to score a great seat for under face value. I just like knowing I have my ticket situation secured the day they go on sale and then don't have to worry about it again.

Is it still set up so that you don’t know where you are sitting until you pick up your ticket?

this is what pisses me off.

if i knew what my seats were, i'd know if i wanted to try TM and get better. in Seattle '13, my friend got better seats through the general TM sale than i did through 10c.

That would require TC to actually assign tickets prior to the public sale.

Exactly. I’ve generally gotten better seats outside the 10C, so it’d be nice to have an idea.

At face value or do you take your chances with StubHub and the like?

My recent PJ seats via Ticketmaster (when getting shut out of the 10C lottery) have been shitty nosebleed seats.

Man, if the crowds sucked at the Key, how quiet will these shows be?

At face value, I was on the field at Fenway last time.

I’d love to know where a terrible number got you at the Fenway shows last time. If it’s on the field I’m fine, but if it’s like behind home plate or something like that I’d rather take my chances with the public sale.

PJ flag on top of the Space Needle. On the scooter ride home, the ferris wheel on the water was lit up with the Lightning Bolt eye, and Safeco was lit up red with a big "PEARL JAM" on the scoreboard.

kinda cool.
