He's the only guy we have that can play CF that isn't named Jackie Bradley Jr.
I know you are not a fan of JBJR. I think he still has some upside. Someone will want him.
I would have traded his ass yesterday.

I'm sure he will be in a package for a pitcher.

I think you're vastly underselling McCarthy here. If he's healthy, he's and easy 2-3 type guy. He's a great pitcher.

I don't know about great pitcher. When he keeps the ball down he is solid. When he doesn't he is garbage. He has learned how to pitch much better than he did in Texas.

I wouldn't put him better than a 3. He can be great when he's on, but he's not consistent enough to be in the top 2 spots.

Meh. 31st in the league in fWAR the last 4 years despite having 200-300 fewer innings than almost everyone ahead of him. Obviously the injuries are a major concern, but I would have no problem having a healthy McCarthy as the 2nd best pitcher in my rotation.

He's a #3. Maybe a #2 on an NL team. Just my 2 cents.

He is funny on twitter and his wife is an ace. :nice:

None of this is gonna matter when 2015 AL MVP Jose Abreu and 2015 AL Cy Young Award winner Chris Sale lead the White Sox to a 109-53 finish and steamroll their way to World Championship #4.

Matt Stairs had two 100 RBI seasons. Raul Mondesi had none. Crazy stat of the day.

Barry Bonds vs. the 11 pitchers on the 2015 Hall of Fame ballot:

.292/.454/.642 with 25 HR's and more walks than hits in 361 plate appearances

I don't know if the stat is still accurate, but I believe for a long time the pitchers he had the most career home runs against were Maddux, Schilling, Smoltz, and Glavine.
