My favs have been Modern Times, Societe, Karl Strauss and Coronado Brewing.

I think Coronado is kinda looked down on by SD brewheads, but the location is unbeatable (right across from Imperial Beach), the prices are right and the food is really great.

Imperial Beach isn't as frequented by tourists either, so you won't have to deal with the traffic of Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.

Brut IPA is king.

I’ve renewed my interest in beer as of late. Mostly through Belgian styles. Tripels and Quads, particularly.

To be honest, I just got so tired of all of the American craft options that the rapid growth in the market has brought about.

Drinking a ginger/beet cider that may be the single best alcoholic beverage I have ever consumed.
