That's not the same thing as a mono mix, friend. That's a stereo fold. Completely different, and shitty, because it raises the center channel 3db.

true. but i think there are some free mastering plugs that will give you more control
Still not the same as a mono mix, which has specific balances and effects that are not achievable by simply folding a stereo mix.
Think of it as two completely different mixes. You can't "create" the original mix of Avocado by doing shit to the remix. It's the same with vintage, seperate mono and stereo mixes.

It wasn't a 100% serious suggestion, just one that I've noticed you can do in the program.
