true. but i think there are some free mastering plugs that will give you more control
Still not the same as a mono mix, which has specific balances and effects that are not achievable by simply folding a stereo mix.
Think of it as two completely different mixes. You can't "create" the original mix of Avocado by doing shit to the remix. It's the same with vintage, seperate mono and stereo mixes.

This reminds me of godeatgod. There was a period there where he listened to nothing but Chroma Key. I hope he's doing well. In fact, I know he is.
