I didn't expect the old boy from Journey to have such killer jazz/fusion chops. But I will admit I'm not really familiar with Journey's music -- was their stuff jazzy at all?
Also Janek is the man. His podcast is really good if you're into bass nerd stuff.

A new supergroup has emerged to pay tribute to late Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell, who died in May 2017.
King Ultramega's official debut release, a cover of Soundgarden's 1992 single Rusty Cage, is the first in a series of releases that'll celebrate Cornell's legacy while raising funds and awareness for MusiCares, the organisation that provides a safety net of critical health and welfare services to the music community.
The lineup of contributing musicians on Rusty Cage includes Alice In Chains singer William DuVall, Mastodon guitarist Bill Kelliher, Metal Allegiance bassist Mark Menghi and Anthrax and Pantera's Charlie Benante.

Im always go from DOTU to SU in terms of their best work. It says a lot i dont consider Badmotorfinger, an awesome fucking incredible beast of an album.

Superunknown is their peak to me.
Upside is terrific but it just doesn't have quite the same magic as the album before it, and it's not as consistently outstanding.
Matt's songwriting contributions in particular are not as elite as his writing credits were for Superunknown.

The guitars on BMF are fine but the drums are godawful. LTL sounds so bright in comparison.
