Kickboxer. Surprised this was made after Bloodsport. It's inferior in every way. Needs some Bolo Yeung.

I watched those many times on VHS in my youth. Were they inappropriate for a preteen? I can't 'member

I've always liked Kickboxer more than Bloodsport. I've only seen the latter once, though; maybe I should try it again.

I think you should.

They're fine for a preteen I think. Pretty silly ass movies. I liked the Street Fighter-esque personalities of some of the fighters in Bloodsport.

Oh wait there is a gratuitous shot of Van Damme's ample ass if that's a concern. But that's pretty much expected of any Van Damme movie.

Bloodsport was one of those movies as a kid that as soon as it was over I'd just rewind it and watch it again immediately on a endless loop.

Bloodsport is far better than Kickboxer. Sort it out, LV.

Double Impact. Now this is top shelf JCVD. the beginning of a bizarre trend of double roles. You know he's a good actor because he can play two parts in one movie.

Universal Soldier: Regeneration is his best film. Runners-up would be Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, Kickboxer, Lionheart, and JCVD.

I always liked Maximum Risk and Nowhere to Run. I wanna say Time Cop too but I don't really remember it. The Quest was dumb but fun.

I wasn't sure. I even googled it. Still unclear.

Let’s apply logic.

Brickhouse, as evidenced by one Lionel Ritchie and his collaborators in The Commodores, is a good thing.

I’ve also heard the phrase “built like a brick shithouse” and that was a good thing.

If something is “the shit” that’s a good thing.

Logic would suggest saying something is shithouse is a good thing. :hooray:

Cyborg

No love for Cyborg? Albert Pyun? It's solid. One of my favorites. JCVD has cool anime hair in this one. One of his best uses of his devastating split move. The big gladiator from Gladiator is also in it.
