If someone (not me) chronicled everything these guys have said about the record I'm not sure we could conclude anything because they've said everything, and half of it contradicts the other shit.

"It's going to alienate people"
"we had to go back and write more songs because they sounded too much like backspacer" (same session as the alienate comment)
"it sounds like a logical progression of backspacer"
it sounds like the ramones
it sounds like motorhead
it sounds like pink floyd
it has some long songs on it
it has a pop song
it sounds like pearl jam

Once again, PJ are finding their world fame absolutely overwhelming so have created the genius off-kilter work Backspacer II to shrink their fanbase further.

I think "It's going to alienate people" probably meant "Guys, you're going to hate it, it's Backspacer II, but I tried to stop them and it's not my fault."

here's what we should be doing. Someone (not me) needs to go back and listen to that 1.5 second clip from that 8 second instagram video from a few months back (the song playing in the car) and figure out if it is sleeping by myself or future days.

You're right.

I wanna hear eddie complain that they were getting 'too mainstream' and that they put out all this hard to digest 'fun' music to turn people off, but some assholes still liked it and now he gets idiots screaming for just breathe at every show and a piece of him dies everytime he hears it on some shitty tv drama they sold the song to to piss people off.

If they carry this on they're not challenging thier audience, they're thinning it down to just the stalkers.

You can't hear those words, it's just what it sounds like. What you're hearing is three fractions, each less than a second long, from different parts of the song. The way that Vine works, it stops and starts recording when you touch the screen. If you look at the video, you can see where the cuts are.

I think we need to have a Lightning Bolt timeline....when the Joseph Arthur vine thing came out, when the LB tour announcement came out with the song snippets, MYM, Soundcheck song, BOB interview, etc
