Let's take the time to watch this compilation of awesome Vines made by people not associated with Pearl Jam.

You can't hear those words, it's just what it sounds like. What you're hearing is three fractions, each less than a second long, from different parts of the song. The way that Vine works, it stops and starts recording when you touch the screen. If you look at the video, you can see where the cuts are.

So no, you're not actually hearing "morning so I", just three millisecond-short soundbites that, when stiched together, sound like "morning so I".
Eh?

Im not disagreeing with you (or maybe i am lol )cause i don't use vine so i probably am wrong, but you can hear enough of the clip with the people outside to hear a dude say 'or i certainly am..you dont have to' and then it cuts to the laptop where you hear part of a song, and then it cuts agin to a different song, or a different part of the same song with some people mumbling.

The bit of the song i hear in the middle doesnt sound jumbled to me *shrug*

Right, but even though that middle part doesn't sound jumbled, if you look at the video portion, you'll see where the cuts are. It cuts from the bottom left of the laptop to the upper right of the laptop while he's still supposedly singing "morning so I". Vine records audio and video together, so you can tell that the visual cut has a corresponding audio cut.

Cuts are corresponding.

Sure. Or "warning". Or even "dawning". It's really hard to tell.

Best post in the whole damned thread! Between this and the Breaking Bad/Weird Al videos, I've lost a 1/2 hour of my day.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

This gives the impression that they're running low on creativity and are turning to cannibalizing their solo work because of a lack of inspiration.

I pointed out "Betterman" as an example of a rehash that worked, but I think there's a difference in that Vitalogy only came out a year after Vs. There's less built-up expectation.
Exactly, if it's true - that SBM is on the new record - isn't that like copying a term paper you wrote for one class and handing it in a year later for a different class?

If you're going to just cut and paste songs you've already asked us to pay for, why not give us 13-15 tunes on the record, then?
It's developing a previous idea further, which is fine with the professor's permission. If it is just the uke version reappearing then you're right.
But I'd hope that the professor would have high standards when a student decides to take another crack at his/her original concept.

At least with Betterman, PJ never sold an earlier version of it on a different record - maybe Bad Radio did, I dunno.

With this recycle/reworked job, it just doesn't feel right, and, more importantly, seems to be taking up a roster spot for a new song.

Now watch SBM become my fav tune on the new record.

The way I see it, every guaranteed 'OK' song (of which SBM is one) means one less chance of getting an awful song in its place. I'm kind of happy for those spaces to be taken up, even if it means fewer surprises. I'm kind of disappointed OTE isn't there, because that would be another space Supersonic II won't appear.

Doesn't mean they won't fuck it up. Or we'll just get another ok version of an ok song and.....meh.

They might fuck it up. But the things going on with the song in my head are good, so I'll wait and see. Mind you, I couldn't have envisaged the lasers so who knows? But Sleeping By Myself is a good song to start with, so there's only a number of things they could do wrong. I'm speaking as someone who quite likes the studio version of SOS and has got used to pretty much always disliking Matt's drumming decisions. So there's probably not a lot they can do to disappoint me now.

One day on Youtube I saw a clip by some unknown band covering "You're True". I have to admit, it sounded a lot better as a full song than Ed's uke original
That makes me kind of excited about the full band version of SBM. Should be pretty good.
I also remember thinking Satellites would make a good full band song the moment I first heard it.

But to be honest, the three best songs on that record do not belong to Ed. One is from an old TV show (Tonight), another is a cover of an old soul song by a black female performer whose name I forgot (More Than You Know), and the other is a cover of Louis Armstrong's Dream a LIttle Dream
