Scottie Pippen wasn't paid crap for those 90's Bulls teams either. Don't really see why you are criticizing Curry for not taking more money when no other team was offering him more at the time. The Warriors drafted very well and have nailed key trades/free agents.

I think the Jordan comparison is kind of silly but there has never been a player like Curry in league history (3 point shooting, efficiency, with the passing/ballhandling skills). It's tough to debate that.

If the talking heads bother so much, why do you continue to watch? I usually agree with you about them focusing too intensely on certain events/topics but this was this streak is almost unprecedented.

You better believe Scottie wanted to get paid and bitched about it along the way. I just find it...uh...unique. ..that the guy who should be the highest paid player in the Nba is cool with making less than a hatchet man like Andrew fucking Bogut. Benefits the warriors greatly.

Probably. And if I was given management level job duties and excelling as well as could possibly be expected I wouldnt be happy if I werent fairly compensated.

Jimmy Butler is a good example of what im talking about. He came off a relatively poor shooting year with a rep as a pretty good but not close to all star level player. He was offered a 'fair' contract by the Bulls and didnt take it. Now Jimmy is a max contract all star who is one of the best two way players in the game.

Jimmy Bulter was abandoned by his mother as a child. Steph had to choose between lexus and mercedes on his super sweet 16.

I think the only thing that will get Steph bitching about his contract is if they start losing.

Imagine if the NBA was set up like English soccer? No bullshit, just ball out and and get as much money as you can. Keep going until someone decides to stop increasing your wage.

He was the highest paid player on the team (tied with Bosh). The situation in Miami was about as fair as it gets really. Wade took a slight paycut during the big 3 years but is back to being overpaid again.

cap or not, lebron clearly took less money to be on a winning team...while curry's situation is a little different, he knows by making less the team can afford to build a winning squadron...i don't know the details of bogut's contract, but i'm sure he's getting paid a lot more than he's worth and when his contract ends they likely will be able to give curry more money...but it's not a concern now

My hypothetical musing about what players could make if there was no cap has nothing to do with the original conversation though len. Nice try.

the cap was only part of the reason he took less money...he took less as well because he knew if he maxed out they wouldn't be able to put a superteam together as they did...while curry's situation is a little different, as i said before he is still well aware that him making less money helps them to build a winning team
