turns out it came out the same year as No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Zodiac, Michael Clayton, The Bourne Ultimatum, Juno, Atonement. No wonder it didn't get much attention. It's really good, but not on par with some of those

I haven't seen Juno or Atonement, so I don't know if it's better than those.

You haven’t seen Juno? Everybody saw Juno, man. I mean I wouldn’t recommend nowadays because it was at the epitome of twee indie movies and didn’t hold up much when I rewatched it.
