i speak with low enthusiasm about positive things which causes others to think im being sarcastic and mean the opposite.

i don't always include "imo" or "i think" so my opinions seem like facts that cant be disagreed upon..

to make the conversation more interesting, i come up with counter points from a hypothetical 3rd person rather than just agreeing with the person
I have a friend who tells me I wouldn't like him if he didn't challenge me and debate me but the reality is that's the reason I don't like him. Personally, I find people who play devil's advocate too much tedious and I don't think it's productive.
yea but you have to look at it from his side...
The funny thing is he pretends he is interested in debating ideas but it's really all about his ego. All good ideas need to come from him.
Kinda sounds like you just like having your own opinions parroted back at you.

Ditto. I blamed it on meds initially, but I think it’s a combination of factors
I've definitely been stressed out lately because of the grind, so I don't really have time for reading or any kind of long form info anyway. But the constant stream of easily accessible KNAWledge (and brainrot) doesn't help.

Na our cellphones have rotted our brains. I am constantly watching a montage of Instagram models and sharks eating other sharks etc. Pretty much the algorithm figures you out and makes you addicted to these little dopamine hits so now we are all pretty much crack addicts and one thing you should know about crack addicts is they don't have great attention spans. Personally I'd rather be dead than live this way but I can't stop.

What do you have against picking up a pack of cigs on special occasions. All this gum talk on the board lately.

Go ahead, but both my parents have had lung cancer diagnosed now, so I’m more anti-smoking than ever.

For the rest of your life, every purchase cheaper than $1500 is completely free,
BUT,
also for the rest of your life, you cannot purchase anything that is more expensive than $1500

Do you accept?!

I would just take Ubers everywhere since they're free

I would also probably just move into a hotel

Nah, that would never work for me. I'm not going the rest of my life never upgrading my TV again. Or my house. Or my car. I can't live the bohemian Jorge life hotel-hopping in Ubers

The only thing I'm worried about is inflation. I could woo some ditzy broad into letting me borrow her car when I need one

I think you all are underestimating how wonderful it would be to never have to work again (and yeah, you would never have to work again if everything cheaper than $1500 was free)

There would be no point to working because, in this scenario, you are literally not allowed to spend money

It's not $1500 a day, it's every purchase worth under $1500 is free
Most things are under $1500 individually, and the ones that aren't you can easily get around in this scenario
