Yeah, Markakis really isn't that good. I was worried the Jays were going to look at him for their LF spot.

I was pretty shocked that the Braves non-tendered Medlen. I like that kid a lot and hope he lands on his feet. Two TJs? Shitty luck.

Every Red Sox beat writer is categorically denying this, but they are known for being the propaganda wing of the Red Sox front office. I never believed that the Red Sox truly wanted Lester back, and if their offer wasn't close enough to put them as a finalist that confirms it.

So Miguel Montero to the Cubs could happen as soon as tonight. Finally the Cubs will have a catcher that can call a game.

By the way, the Cubs basically got Addison Russell for Jeff Samardzija with them re-signing Jason Hammel.
