Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread

Post by epilogue »

Funnily enough... my best friend and his wife and kids were in town this past weekend. His youngest (4 years old) saw an Alf DVD in my collection, grabbed it and asked, "What's this movie?!" I had to explain Alf to her and she desperately wanted to watch it. I warned her that Alf likes to eat cats (that's why there was a cat milkshake on the DVD cover). But she said she still wanted to watch it. So we did.

She was bummed because it wasn't a movie.

Shumway, duh. Everyone knows that.
True story - my son's school is in Shumway neighborhood so I think about Alf every time I have to go over there.

Cameron's "producing" and has been "involved" again, apparently. I think this will be a reboot/sequel to T2, ignoring all other incarnations of the property.

Looks like it.

Watching that episode the other day, it struck me how much Alf sounds like Nick Offerman. I hope they get him to do the voice in the reboot.

I'm not a big Terminator fan. That was a good post, Strat. Just lost on me. Sorry I missed it.

Yes. I think T2 is wildly overrated.

The original is such a tight, inventive, imaginative little genre movie. It’s perfect on its own.
